NORMAL SKIN

Normal skin is characterized by its perfect balance. It produces the right amount of sebum to retain its protective film and its moisture percentage is normal.

specific characteristics for normal skin

  • Invisible pores – maybe a few around the nose

  • Good and normal blood circulation

  • Fresh and healthy skin tone

  • Good and firm elasticity

If you have any of these Normal Skin characteristics, you can follow the skincare recommendations by clicking below.

DRY SKIN

Dry skin is often seen in people over 25-30 years of age, where there is a lack of sebum production or the fluid percentage is too low. This means that there is both moisture-dry and oily-dry skin, which are two different skin types.

Specific Characteristics for Dry Skin

OILY-DRY SKIN:

  • Needs fat/oily products

  • Looks sensitive and a little reddish

  • Small pores

  • Feels tight, dry, and bloated

  • Rapidly developing dead skin cells

  • Blood bursts can occur

  • Lack of protection

MOISTURE-DRY SKIN:

  • Needs moisture/fluid

  • Looks pale

  • Open and enlarged pores towards the cheeks

  • Feels tight and dry (especially after bathing)

  • Peels and have dry spots

  • Dryness lines

If you have any of these Dry Skin characteristics, you can follow the skincare recommendations by clicking below.

Oily Skin

Oily Skin feels heavy, shiny, and grey, which is why it often looks unkempt. The oil secretion is constant and the sebum production is excessive and it is, therefore, unnecessary for the skin to be protected. The pore opening is widened by the excessive pressure from the sebum which can lead to dark “holes” in the skin as well as impurities.

Specific Characteristics for Oily Skin

  • Shiny face

  • Open/big pores

  • Easily exposed to impurities

  • Feels heavy

  • Grey, pale or yellowish nuance

  • Bad blood circulation

  • The makeup often streaks and cannot last

If you have any of these Oily Skin characteristics, you can follow the skincare recommendations by clicking below.

Sensitive skin

Sensitive Skin reacts to everything you do. It burns and stings when it is cold or hot. It always feels tight and tense and has rough and red spots. Sensitive Skin is also swollen and itchy, and blood bursts may appear on the cheeks. The reason why the skin is so sensitive is that the nerve endings are close to the surface of the skin and the epidermis is thinner than normal skin.

Specific characteristics for sensitive skin

  • Reacts quickly and easily to external and internal influences

  • Flares on neck and chest

  • Rough and red spots

  • The skin often swells, itches and burns

  • Feels thin

  • Small pores

If you have any of these Sensitive Skin characteristics, you can follow the skincare recommendations by clicking below.

Combined Skin

Combination Skin is the most normal skin type as 60% have it. It is oily in the T-zone, forehead, nose, and chin, and dry on the cheeks. The oily T-zone occurs because there are many active sebaceous glands in the middle of the face.

SPECifIC CHARACTERISTICS for combined skin

  • Oily T-zone

  • Dry cheeks

  • Open/big pores in the T-zone

  • Easily exposed to impurities in the T-zone

  • Cheeks feel sensitive and a little reddish

  • Blood bursts can occur on the cheeks

If you have any of these Combined Skin characteristics, you can follow the skincare recommendations by clicking below.

Mature (40+) Skin

Mature Skin, also referred to as aged skin, can be divided into time- and light-trophic skin. Time-trophic skin has aged over time and had a normal aging process. Whereas light-trophic skin has aged prematurely due to the sun’s UV rays, which break down collagen and elastin in the skin. Other factors have, of course, also had a great impact on Mature Skin, such as lack of skincare, sleep, smoking, alcohol, illness, and stress.

SPECifIC CHARACTERISTICS for mature skin

  • Pigment changes

  • Dry/dehydrated skin

  • Blood bursts towards the cheeks

  • Lack of protection

  • Feels tight and dry (especially after bathing)

  • Open and enlarged pores towards the cheeks

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
